Punto Banco Standards
Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the cards, but the first number is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of 1 (five plus 6 equals 11; ignore the initial ‘one’).
A 3rd card will be dealt based on the following rules:
- If the gambler or house has a score of eight or nine, the two players stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, she takes a card. Players stays otherwise.
- If the player stays, the banker hits on a total less than 5. If the player hits, a chart is employed to figure out if the banker holds or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The higher of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission are recorded and paid off when you leave the game so be sure to still have money around before you head out). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays out at eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on properly baccarat banque gives pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games Baccarat has a few accepted misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous results at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.
The most common and likely the most favorable plan is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This plan is deployed to build up profits and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you are left with 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, put down 2 on the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.
If you do not win on the first round, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st wager followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Success on the initial two with a hit on the third provides you with a profit of two. And success on the first three with a loss on the 4th means you are even. Winning all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you can not win on the 2nd round 5 times for every successful run of four rounds and still experience no loss.
