Punto Banco Standards
Baccarat is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the total of the cards, but the 1st number is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (five plus 6 = 11; dump the first ‘one’).
A third card could be given using the following rules:
- If the gambler or house has a value of eight or 9, both players stay.
- If the player has less than 5, she hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler holds, the house takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player hits, a table is used to determine if the bank holds or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19 to 20 (even payout minus a five percent commission. Commission are kept track of and paid off when you depart the table so ensure you still have cash left just before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pay 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8:1)
Played correctly baccarat chemin de fer gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Scheme
As with all games punto banco has some accepted misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Tracking past results on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.
The most common and likely the most accomplished course of action is the one, three, two, six method. This technique is deployed to pump up profits and limit risk.
Begin by wagering one chip. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a total of 3 dollars on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the game table, take away four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the third round, add two on the four on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.
Should you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a hit of two. Wins on the 1st two with a hit on the third provides you with a take of 2. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 bets gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd wager 5 instances for each successful run of four rounds and still experience no loss.
