Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under ten are counted at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely represent the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven and five results in a total score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be given out depending on the following guidelines:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie by and large pays eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Regardless odds are positively better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)
Played effectively, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Keeping track of past outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-two-6 technique. This process is used to pump up payout and cutting back risk.
commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
