Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are counted at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays eight to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are generously better – nine to one versus eight to one)

Played properly, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of past results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful method is the 1-3-two-six technique. This schema is deployed to boost wins and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
