Punto Banco Rules and Method

Punto Banco Codes

Punto banco is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the total of the cards, although the beginning digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus six = eleven; drop the initial ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the following rules:

- If the player or house has a score of 8 or nine, the two players stay.

- If the player has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stays, the bank takes a card on a total less than five. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to figure out if the bank stays or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The higher of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out once you leave the game so make sure you still have funds left just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties happen lower than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Wagered on correctly baccarat gives pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games punto banco has a few common misconceptions. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events about to happen. Tracking previous outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most familiar and possibly the most accomplished method is the one-three-two-six plan. This method is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will retain six on the table, remove four so you keep 2 on the third bet. If you succeed on the third bet, put down two to the 4 on the game table for a total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first bet followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of 2. Success on the 1st two with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And success on the first three with a defeat on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you are able to not win on the second round 5 instances for each successful streak of four wagers and still break even.
