Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are said to be at their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 will have a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be dealt depending on the following protocols:

- If the player or banker has a score of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 but on occasion nine to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. be cautious of wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are thoroughly better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played effectively, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Monitoring of prior results on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-six method. This technique is used to boost earnings and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
