Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely symbolize the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 results in a tally of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are positively better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly most successful tactic is the one-three-two-6 method. This tactic is employed to maximize winnings and limiting risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
