Baccarat Regulations
Punto banco is enjoyed with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the beginning digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus six equals eleven; drop the initial ‘1′).
A third card will be dealt depending on the following rules:
- If the gambler or house achieves a value of 8 or nine, both players stay.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.
- If the player holds, the bank hits on five or lower. If the player hits, a table is used to see if the banker stays or takes a card.

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you leave the table so ensure you have cash around before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pay eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of betting on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus eight to one)
