Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules and Method

Punto Banco Principles

Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and six has a total of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; ditch the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be dealt based on the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a total of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player stands, the house hits on 5 or less. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to decide if the bank stands or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you depart the game so be sure to still have money left before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays 8:1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat banque offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some general myths. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Recording previous results at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most accomplished strategy is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This method is deployed to pump up winnings and limit losses.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a sum total of three units on the second bet. Should you win you will hold six on the game table, remove four so you are left with 2 on the third bet. Should you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down 2 on the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth round.

Should you do not win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the initial two with a defeat on the third gives you with a profit of two. And success on the first three with a defeat on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning all four rounds leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the second bet five instances for each successful run of 4 bets and in the end, experience no loss.
