Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are of face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 produces a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the following regulations:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pays eight to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six method. This scheme is employed to increase profits and lowering risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
