Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are said to be worth face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … five has a total of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pay out eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try laying money on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Tracking of prior outcomes on a chart is simply a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-2-six technique. This tactic is deployed to magnify payouts and controlling risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
