Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely portray the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 gives a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Regardless odds are noticeably better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When done effectively, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-three-2-6 concept. This plan is employed to accentuate payouts and reducing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
